Cannaboys

A wholesale smoke-shop distributor serving Manhattan and Long Island. Round City built the website and the internal system that ran the operation, then ran the marketing: SEO, local listings, and a national outbound campaign to independent smoke shops — mail, email, and phone — that brought in a large book of wholesale business. Built before any of it could be handed to AI.

01The system, by hand

The site and the order system were written the long way, years before AI tooling existed to help. It ran a real distribution business: catalogue, wholesale pricing, and the workflow behind the orders.

02Outbound that actually dialled

A prospect list of independent smoke shops across the United States, worked by direct mail, email, and phone with the wholesale offer. Distribution is a contact sport — the marketing plan was built to be worked, not admired, and it moved serious volume.

03Found, then followed up

On-site SEO and a Google Business presence brought the inbound half: shop owners searching for a distributor landed on a catalogue that answered wholesale questions instead of a brochure that dodged them. Inbound and outbound fed the same pipeline.

04Why it still matters

This is the engagement that proves the studio is not an AI wrapper. The site, the ordering system, the list, and the campaign were all built by hand years before any of it could be delegated to a model — which is exactly why the modern version, built with better tools, is worth trusting.
